Rehab Facility, Co. Wicklow

BRIEF: To install all fire, intruder and emergency lighting systems in this building, to bring it from domestic to commercial safety standards.

This three storey building was converted from a private residence to a UK company’s Irish base. This building will house many staff and clients, and as such, the fire and emergency lighting systems had to be upgraded from domestic to commercial standard. Each room had to be fitted with smoke/heat detectors and emergency lighting, along with bells, break glass units and a wired intruder alarm. All recessed downlighters were replaced with fire rated fittings. This building now fully complies with IS:3217 emergency lighting standards and IS:3218 fire alarm standards.
